This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and equivalent technologies are used on the website closedata.co, what they are for, how long they last and how you can accept, refuse or withdraw your consent at any time. It complements the Privacy Policy.

1. Legal framework

The use of cookies is governed by Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, transposed into Portuguese law by Article 5 of Law no. 41/2004 of 18 August, and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) where the information collected constitutes personal data. Under that framework, only strictly necessary cookies may be stored without consent. All other cookies require your prior, free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Equivalent technologies, such as local storage, pixels and tags, work in a similar way. They allow a site to remember your choices, keep a session secure and measure how the site is used.

3. Categories of cookies we use

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individuals, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

4. Cookies used

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR apply, in particular standard contractual clauses. Google's own information is available at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

5. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept all cookies, refuse all non-essential cookies or choose by category. No analytics or marketing cookies are set before you give consent, and refusing is as easy as accepting. Your choice is recorded for twelve months, after which you are asked again.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from working properly.

6. Your rights

Where cookies process personal data, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent, as described in the Privacy Policy. You may exercise these rights at legal@closedata.co and lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).

7. Changes

This Policy may be updated whenever the cookies used change. The version in force takes effect upon publication, and the date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
